Gary King received his undergraduate degree in Urban Planning from California Polytechnic University at Pomona.  Before joining Jennings, Strouss and Salmon, and subsequently Earl & Curley, Gary worked for 4 years as a redevelopment planner in Arcadia and Burbank, California, and for 4 years in the Long-Range Planning and Site Plan Review Divisions of the City of Phoenix.

Gary King has over 35 years in the public and private sectors.  His varied experiences working for and later with municipalities provides him with a background uniquely suited to serve the needs of our clients.  He has extensive experience in project management, preparation of zoning entitlement documents, drafting of public review documents, site planning, site and design review analysis, land plan development, public and private involvement, and neighborhood outreach.  Gary retired from full-time planning work after a long career but remains as a planning consultant for Earl & Curley, allowing the firm to tap into his expertise and extensive experience when needed.
